Does anyone know where to find some 9mm ammo in the Ottawa area?
Where did it all go? Is everyone hoarding? I guess the good thing is that there must be alot of shooters out there.

Any ideas?

Thanks everyone

Lebaron had a bunch last week, Stisstville has some as well but not a lot on the shelf that I could see. I gave up waiting this year and started loading my own on a turret press. You save a lot over buying it since the brass is pretty much free if you scrounge.

The 9mm drought is doing a little better now than it was last year though, I couldn't find a box for a good couple months.

most people i know buy Wolf reloads by the 1000s, esp since 9mm is cheap and people shoot tons of it.

I picked up some bulk boxes of Winchester 115gr at Lebaron a few weeks ago but I took the last 4 boxes they had. I find with them the best thing is to call because it doesn't sit on the shelf very long.

Sports Action just got in a bunch of Seller and Bellot (125 gr?) 9mm FMJ. I think they're selling them for $17.50/box.

These prices are downright criminal.

And people still claim that shooting 9mm is cheap? Just out of curiosity, for those of you who truly think so, what is your occupation and salary?

Yah, the prices are high, but it's also a mom & pop store, so they can't afford to carry huge amounts of ammo (and buy directly from the manufacturer).

As for 9mm being cheap... it's cheaper than .40 or .45...

Which isn't really saying much. :D

If you don't reload, odds are you're either not shooting much or make some pretty baller money. Well, that's on the "fiscally responsible" side of things.

It really is a professional man's sport. Kind of like Golf, when you think about it...

Yah, if only we could have their pants...

and that's our problem how???

whenever someone says that they like to support the local guy or makes up an excuse for excessively high local prices, i'd like to say to that person "well then, why don't you buy it online for cheap, and take the difference and just hand it to the guy at the store and walk out." i mean, would someone do that if it was that explicit? i sure as hell wouldn't.

If you don't like it, don't buy ammo there. Simple solution. But if LeBaron is out of 9mm and you don't want to pay for shipping (from an on-line retailer), and you don't want to pay an extra few dollars at a local store, then you're SOL. I was just letting him know what options are available.

thanks everyone. finally Lebaron got some in this week, Winchester 9mm FMJ 115gr. Won't last long though.

Its real hit and miss in Ottawa these days

If i wore those pants out shooting , i have to cap myself..

And ammo isnt that expensive , as long as you budget your time/money. i just started another full time job and have no problem getting a few boxes of ammo of two weeks and if i only shoot every other weekend some of that ammo get saved , not to mention all the casings i have for reloading .

but you are right the prices are a tad high.
