Hello, I have a Bushmaster 9mm Carbon-15. I've gone about changing it up to suit my needs and this leaves the trigger still to do. I've done a .556 trigger job by adding the S3G on my other AR but i am wondering if there is anything different with a 9mm I need to know? What do you more knowledgeable fellows suggest?

Typically Colt pattern ( such as the RRA ) 9mm bolt should be ramped when using with non 9mm hammers . As the non ramped bolt ( not really called a carrier anymore ) moves forward it will bind up so bad that you need to disassembly with takedown and pivot pin

Here is a Colt pattern 9mm bolt

The Bushmaster Carbon 15 bolt does not have the offending notch and is therefore essentially ramped ( see below pic )

Therefore you can use any aftermarket FCG. Only caution is some aftermarket triggers are slightly too wide to move freely in the Carbon 15's slot at bottom of reciever . No biggie since it takes a few passes with a file. Check first with trigger /disconnector assembly and see if it drags slightly

I dropped in the Timney 670 #4lbs which is what Timney suggested for a 9mm AR. If you contact them they will send you a metal plate to fit the Carbon series.
