9mm AR conversion

You can (and I do) just use an M16 hammer and leave it in. Any hammer without a notch to catch on the carrier will do.

And no, you don't have to "swap out the other stuff". You can use the 9mm buffer just fine.

In the end, if you use and M16 hammer, all you have to do is move the mag block in and out. Takes half a turn with an allen key.

I got a regular carbine buffer in my .223 lower and work fine.


When I ordered mine Mark quoted me 14 weeks and I got the confirmation that it arrived from him in about 11 weeks.

It was just so hard to see it in the cabinet and waiting for the official yellow registration papers to take it out to the range.

Lucky I had the lower already. I was waiting forever for a new handguard for mine so I can shoot it.


Overall this build took over 2 years to acquire/gather up parts.
