It is. I found it to be both inaccurate and very dirty - lots more gunk in the gun after even only a few mags. Found this to be the case in striker fired pistols as well as a delayed blowback carbine.
Stay away from Maxxtech as everyone has suggested. On the other hand Magtech is fairly good in my opinion. Locally in the GTA Tenda and G4C usually have the best prices on bulk ammo. Up until 2 weeks ago G4C had 2000 rounds of Federal 115 grain aluminum ammo on sale for 399.99 and 1000 rounds for 219.99. Its my go to ammo. Never had an issue with it.
Have a look at AmmoBin.ca as they look at dozens of popular sights across Canada for price comparison. Register at SFRC for their email and they have a sale once or twice a month and give between 10 to 18 percent off most ammo and other items with the specific code.
I'm getting into reloading now, so I'm rather into the deals on components. So far it works out around $160+tax per 1000. But I don't mind getting factory ammo if the deal is good. Other than Maxxtech, the cheapest bulk ammo runs for around $250+tax - will rather run a batch myself until seeing anything cheaper.
