hey all, I'm planning on buying the Pistol Lee Loader in 9mm. I live in an bachelor suite apartment and have zero room for a bench press.

anyhow, I'm planning on using everyone's brass to see what I like and what I can reload the most. however, I'm curious to know what recipes I should use, what bullets I should buy (plated only) and what powders I should hoard.

any recommendations you can give me to start me on my way would be appreciated. :)

campro RN 124's with 4 grains of titegroup has been working great for me

You cannot go wrong, IMO, with Campro bullets, either in 124 or 147 gr. configurations. I use WST, WSF and 231 with very good results. At the moment I am primarily reloading with WW 231 ( 4.6 grs. with Campro 124 gr. bullet; WW sp primer) as WST is pretty much unobtanium in my neck of the woods at the moment; Very accurate in my pistols.
Also, I came across 3 lbs of Longshot powder over the winter. Had never used it before but it works well in my 9mm's. I still prefer the previously mentioned powders but the Longshot kept me shooting until I was able to score some WW 231 and WSF.

Get what powder you can find. I've found 9mm to be quite flexible and have used numerous powders without difficulty from Red Dot at the fast end to CFE Pistol at the slow end of the burn rate spectrum. If you are loading for a particular purpose e.g. Production minor loads or 9mm Major, you will have to be more selective to get the right velocity, a clean burn and reliable function.

Right now I'm using 4.3 gn. of W231/HP38 under a 124 gn. Campro RN and get a reliable 135 Power Factor. Running low but expect some VVN320 soon.

i would get a lee hand press over the lee loader so your not hammering all the time which may be heard through the walls and floors. you can use standard dies and process brass a hell of alot faster. get a hand primer as well so you can size/deprime, prime and flare/expand the case mouth all while watching tv or doing something else. i've got the the hand press and lee loader and its a world of difference speed wise and convenience wise. i do 9mm in batches of 200 with the hand press, takes about and hour or two from spent cases to loaded ammo. i also have a powder measure and load the cases 50 at a time using the factory trays the ammo comes in.
