9mm Cases - Some Fit Some Don't - What Am I Doing Wrong??

something has got to be screwy with this setup... I cant figure out what but no way should it be that finicky. I reload a ton of random brass shot out of who knows what gun, including glocks, and the only difference is that some take a bit more force to resize than others but they all come out of the machine the same and working in my gun.

Bigedp51, you have the distinct advantage of being south of the 49th, where all things guns are cheaper and available thru a multiple of sources. Here in Canada, at this point in time, there is a distinct shortage of many things related to reloading - powders, dies, components. I've been trying to find a Lee collet die for .270 caliber for the past 3 months and I'm still SOL.

You don't really think that only Canada has shortages do you, I'm using Titegroup powder in my .44 magnum and plated bullets because that's all I can find. Last week I was able to buy new .44 magnum cases for the first time in six months. I can't get the bullets I need or the powder so I'm substituting or just not reloading or shooting.

The shortages go beyond our borders and are caused by demand outstripping supply, this is made worse by people buying large quantities for themselves and some of these people reselling these products at inflated prices.

If you think we have it made on this side of the border then remember this, Canada has a population of just over 34 million. And in the United States we have a population of over 314 million and many millions more people looking for the same reloading components you are.

Now before you blame Americans again for all the shortages, just answer these questions truthfully.

Does your best duct tape come from China or the United States? And just "who" is causing the duct tape shortage?

I run all ammo through a lee crimp die, with carbide sizer ring.
It goes through the die, it fits in any gun, easy enough. No failure in 2000 rounds.
(unless your oal is screwed)

Bigedp51 - not looking to blame our neighbors in the south, just saying you have a few more options to order products from there us here "Duck Tape" kids. I understand the powder shortage dilemma, it's a common problem both north and south. I've been switching over to some other powders just to be able to get out to the range and throw a few down range. Your advise along with the rest of you guys has been really helpful. I think I've got it sorted out. Definitely going to purchase a head space gauge for the 9 and 38 and that should shorten my frustration time by a lot.

And if I get a chance to hit the range this weekend, I'll see if I've "Got It, By George". If not, I might be back at you guys again.

Again thanks

Cheers

Wayne
