9mm Double Stack - Single Magazine Pouch

Which pouch is better for use in IPSC Production Class? I was thinking of a Bladetech/5.11 or a Fobus 9mm double magazine pouch. A fellow shooter suggested minimum 3 single magazine pouch that can be tilted. I am now having second thoughts since a double mag pouch is cheaper. I can get 2 for about the price of 3 single pouches. What is the basic magazine pouch requirement for production class? Any suggestion/s?

This was mentioned in another thread recently......be aware of the amount of space the doubles take up compared to singles.

As I recall hearing you can fit more mags on a belt in single pouches then you can with doubles, doubles have a bit of wasted space between the mags, they would also shape to your body better as I recall.

I ran with single pouches on the side and a double pouch in the small of my back. This was normally used only for the longest stages; and of course the first mag to load & make ready.

Id go find the thread that i made but im on my phone, check out the link in my sig and i think its the third or fourth post from the top for an example of whyy double are a bad idea, compare that vs singles on me with a 32" waist and the pouches reach barely to the small of my back

Double Mag pouches will get you in the game cheap,
but single mag pouches give you the flexibility to adjust the mags to easy access and to be able to properly index (very key for a good mag change) the mags when you draw them.
