Anyone know where to get 9mm hollow points in ontario for a reasonable price? I would like cleaner hole in the target, as round nose is hard to see.

Thanks!

Good luck finding them at a "reasonable price". Even round nose are too expensive now, if you ask me! Most ammo dealers do carry them though. Cheers

Yeah, I know I will pay more, but it's a pain in the ass trying to see my shots at 25 yards sometimes.

I use the shoot-and-see, but at the price of those these days, I wouldn't mind trying some hollow points.

.... I doubt that you'll find much, if any, improvement by switching to H/P. The old fashioned "Semi Wad Cutter" probably, if your pistol will digest it without hiccups, would most likely, be the way to go. ..... David K. ...

A hole is a hole. there is no difference in the .355 FMJ hole and a .355 JHP hole when shooting paper, plywood or cardboard.
The only reason I shoot JHP is because I reload them (approx $5.50 a box). if your wanting factory JHP... save your money.

I'm reminded of something Lincoln said...

The very small increase in paper removal caused by HP projectiles in no way offsets the cost or hassle of sourcing said ammo. Unless you compete on an olympic level where 1/10 or 1/00 of an inch makes a difference. Stick to FMJ and practice.

JHP's are not going to affect the sharpness of the hole in paper one bit. The hollow point is considerably smaller than the maximum diameter of the bullet. What you want are semi-wadcutters. They will have a sharp edge on the shoulder and produce near ticket punch holes in paper.

Many IPSC shooters have been using semi-wadcutters in semi-auto guns for decades with no issues.

I still have an unopened case (500rds IIRC) of 147gr. Rangers from Wolverine. I may part with it soon. Check the EE occasionally.

I am still looking for a box or two of 127 +P+ Rangers. Very hard to find.
