9mm in a .357 with moon clips?

there were a few .357mag revolvers that could also fire 9mm in them (taurus was supposed to make one as well) not sure how they are different from every other .357mag......but I wouldn't do it! 9mm has a tapared case where .357 is straight.
 
you need a gun that is cut for moon clips...I believe at one point ruger had a revolver that would allow this to be done...not sure who else. There have been a few 9mm revolvers but they are hard to find. It would work but be a little hard on the brass.......and probably not super accurate after the bullet jumps the distance to the rifling

so a revolver has to be made to be able to use moon clips eh? its not just something one can do?

my brother has an astra constable that fires both, but you change cylinders and cranes ( it's a slip in arrangement- when you see it, you say why don't other companies do this?) and uses star clips as well- that's a moon clip in reverse- the star holds the edges of the case- however, when you fire 9mm in a 357 barrel, accuracy suffers- that 2thou DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE, almost like a 9mm smoothbore
 
Clips act like a very thick rim from the standpoint of headspacing, and keeping the cartridges from dropping into the chamber. If 9mm cartridges seem to be chambering in your .357, it is because the taper of the case is wedging in the .357 chamber mouth.
Ruger makes 9mm cylinders for Blackhawks, but the ctge. headspaces on its mouth, and with the ejector rod, extraction is not a problem. There have been some 9mm revolvers, with and without clips, but the idea never really caught on.

What does this have to do with you being retarded?

Did it take far longer than average for you to absorb the lesson?
Will you possibly forget the lesson next week if we don't use the material?
 
I have seen a Ruger Security Six that has been modified to shoot 9mm with FMCs. The cylinder was machined to accept FMCs and also the chambers opened up to 9mm dimensions.
