I am just starting to reload for 9mm and I have some 124 Campro RN, 144 Campro RN and lot's of 125 I cast this summer. I was going to try HP-38 with these loads.
- 124 gr plated (CamPro): Start at 4.0 grains and work up to about 4.4 grains.
- 144 gr plated (CamPro): Start at 3.8 grains and work up to 4.2 grains.
- 125 gr cast: Start at 4.0 grains and work up to about 4.4 grains.
For 9mm, I use Titegroup, a flake type powder and is available almost everywhere. W231 and Bullseye are spherical powder and meters very well. Titegtoup seems to be the cheapest and goes well with most types of bullets, from cast to plated and fmj.
3 grains is negligible and considered the same, you can use the same load data, you should know that.So they don't make a 144gr 9mm bullet. Maybe greatwhite meant 147gr.

WhateverSure, but they don't make a 144gr bullet and we can only assume what greatwhite was actually talking about.
Budget shooter supply has power pistol but I suspect it's the last of it around. I have a lifetime supply for my needs. CheersThis is my powder of choice as well but like Unique it’s not available either![]()
I did try Silhouette in the past, it performed a little bellow average in terms of accuracy and velocities so I never pursued it any further. Never tried True Blue so I can't tell but I have just sourced a 4lb keg of Power Pistol so as soon as it arrives I'll build some test loads.Depends on what your after I see a lot of people like 231/hp38 and titegroup , good for economic target loads but imho boring and mediocre . I am surprised I didn’t see anyone suggest ramshot silhouette or even ramshot true blue as both of those powders are far better for 9mm than 231 and tightgroup , both are cheaper burn cleaner and are just as accurate or even more so and both achieve higher velocity at Decent pressure, seems like a no brainer to me . I have tried many many powders over the years for 9mm and the ones that I always keep around or go back to are
silhouette - true blue - power pistol - be 86 - Cfe pistol - 3n37 - aa#7
Hs6 honerable mention
