With all the choiced we have in 9mm pistols it's difficult to choose which one to buy...
I think that the sig P226 is one of the best choices...
What do you guys think

Glock for me. I do love my SIG's though but prefer the lighter weight and feel of Glock. I had the trigger done on one of my Beretta 92FS and it has become a fav as well. There are so many....

Why only one? ;)

I like the 226 a lot but the Glock is just about the most abuse resistant auto out there.

However, I LOVE my Grand Power K100 Mk6 :D Better fit to my hand than either the Sig or Glock.

For me it's my CZ Shadow, best fit for me from all 9mm's, very accurate and I love the heft of this gun...

I think it depends a lot on how you plan to handle your gun. If you are going to carry it, and/or do a lot of holster activity, it seems to me a smaller, lighter, and easily held gun is best.

If you are going to keep it in a box, bring it to the range, and fire off rounds for accuracy, the equation will change.

For what it's worth (since I'm a newbie to this) I chose a 92FS. I found the Glock and Sig felt too light.

I love 9mm's!

Cheap to shoot and fun. I have three 9mm's, a M&P9, a CZ85 and a High power clone FEG. I would love to add a SIG to that collection and maybe even a Glock.

If your considering a SIG I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

I have a CZ75 and I really like it. I have shot a S&W M&P 9mm a bit lately too and although the trigger to me is better with the M&P the CZ is a better overall gun. It fits me well as my hands are not that big.

SIG-Sauer Inc. USA is one of the worst scams in the industry. Back in the day they used to re-sell quality European pistols. Today, they're selling self-made, hastily thrown-together SHI.T, using a series of sketchy suppliers (including the PRC), capitalizing on the Swiss-German brand name.

So no, unless you get a pre-Exeter P226, I don't think it's a good buy at all for the money they're extorting.

Next time your at your local gun shop/range hold all of them in your hand, select the one that is most comfortable and fits the size of your hand the best, if you can shoot them first, try a bunch that will help you make your decision.

For me its a Glock 17
My brother a CZ 75
Other brother Beretta 92FS
Other brother S&W M&P

Its your choice. If price is a determining factor M&P is great package for the price, if you can still get the factory rebate and extra mags, not sure that deal is still out there though.

Soon enaugh you will find you have half a dozen in your collection:D

I pared down my 9mm's to 3, HK PSP, CZ 75B and Glock 17....some of the sold ones included pre B CZ75, HK P7M8, S&W M&P, Sig 220 and Beretta 92F. Nothing wrong with them at all. I just prefered the ones I've kept...My favourite would be the PSP and a tie for the CZ75B and G17. YMMV...

9 mm pistols

I'll second Steve David's opinion - Glock 34 all the way. However, if it was not for the first Double Action shot, HK P30L has the best feel and ergonomics.

Now we're complaining about having TOO MANY options? You'd think that this was a good thing.

I just love these threads. As soon as someone asks what the "best" pistol is everyone automatically jumps in and extolls the virtues of THEIR pistol firm in their own mind that their brand and model is the only selection that any sane buyer CAN make.

Seldom do the more sage minds post that the best for anyone is the one that fits their hands the best.

Let's face it, today's market enjoys a wide variety of handguns that are all very, very capable. Some of the control options and grip shapes make some more suited to some folks while other features are better for other folks.

But there's certainly no one "best" semi auto pistol out there.

9mm's

1911 and BHP :)

+1

After ~ 30 years of various 9mm's I've settled on my BHP MkIII and Colt Combat Commander 9mm....
