I have 2 CZ Shadows, one of them has a tighter/shorter chamber than the other.....would like to have them both the same. Is it a difficult job, to even the one out.....could it be done by hand, or does it need to be chucked in a lathe....is it something I could do myself?

Thanks

Does the gun jam? Does it not extract? Are the rounds interchangeable. Most guns have a thou or 2 difference between them. How do you know one is tight? Maybe one is loose and the one you think is tight is right on. If you are reloading, sizing should take care of any discrepancies. If you aren't having any issues, you would be best to leave well enough alone.

My original shadow, has an already short chamber......cz's are well known for this. A new one i have just received will not chamber on my already short reloads. I don't want to make the reloads any shorter, because what I have now, shoots very well out of my original shadow. I want to make the other one at least the same!

By the time you buy a reamer it would be just as cheap to have a smith do it (I bet less than 1/2 hour). The reamer will take care of the diameter, but you will have to take care of the depth, too deep and you throw the barrel away

as mentioned, send the barrel and slide to a smith and have it reamed to spec. Shouldn't take long.

That's the trouble with not putting a location on your sig box. No one can even recommend a smith.

There is more to reaming a chamber than most know. Tooling, measuring instruments and a reamer will set you back close to $300.

A smith might charge $100 plus shipping.

I think 7.62mm is referring to a throat reamer, not a chamber reamer.

CZ's have issues with certain bullet profiles, requiring them to be loaded short in overall length, or have the throat reamed.
