Dillon 550.Buy once, cry once.I have 4 Dillons, an RCBS for 50 and a Lee somewhere.I do not really care where the Lee is,as it will never be used again.Unless I buy a boat.

I would rather own a Dillon but myself and the countless high volume shooters I know that run Lees are not crying.

I have a boat though.

You have a boat because you didn't have to blow the cash on a Dillon. LOL.

Agreed, loaded 1,400 hand cast 180gr TC lead 40SW last night on my Lee 1000... Not one priming or other issue. Trick is keeping your gear clean like anything else.

I was like you once - had a couple Lees - on a hunch and a good deal; got a Dillon. 14 years later I'm still kicking myself for not doing it sooner.
Those that think their Lee progressive is great, have never seriously loaded on a Dillon...those that have switched will NEVER consider going back.

Thank you very much all! This is a great thread, a lot of useful information. I also think about starting reloading and while I know what tumbler does I don't see that anyone has mentioned tumbler in must-have list, why? After picking up brass at the range shouldn't I use tumbler to clean it?

If it makes you feel special. I do my brass slow, throw it in a bucket with some soapy water and hit it with some scrubbing pads. Also lets me inspect for damage at the same time.
