Just curious if anyone cares to share numbers on their 9mm reloading costs.

I'm trying to exclude those that cast their own bullets since that changes the equation quite a bit but also involves a lot more work and effort.

Here's my current costs:

$0.177 per round
$8.87 per box of 50
$177.42 per 1000

This is all taxes in..

I use the following components:

Powder: Titegroup
Primers: Winchester small pistol
Bullets: BDX FMJ 124g

I got my costs using this
http://www.handloads.com/calc/loadingCosts.asp

1000 Aim bullets - $95
or
1000 D&G lead bullets - $80

1000 SP primers - $35
1 pound PowerPistol - $35
Brass - Free

$165 - 1000 plated rounds
$150 - 1000 lead rounds

Don't know what Wolf reloads go for these days, but after shipping I can't imagine it's even close.

This doesn't cross over from my spread sheet but I include taxes and shipping and the cost of powder per grain.

ARMSCOR 9MM 124GR FMJ 0.14618/each
W-231 0.003075/grain
Federal small pistol 0.036586/primer

9MM 4.0gr $0.1972185

I just got in 1000 Berrys bullets
$106 to my door
$20.25 tax in 1lb titegroup (1000 bullets uses just about 2/3 lb of powder)
$27 tax in for 1000 primers
$153 total. Actually a little less since 2lbs of powder should give you 3000 rds

I am running about $165.00 per 1000 using aim bullets.

I just loaded about 2000 this evening, got another 3000 left to go for 9mm, then on to 223, then the cycle starts again with 45ACP and 30-06.

The costs I worked out:
$32.90 1000 primers Winchester
$92.66 1000 124grain berrys bullets
$13.03 powder avg/1000 when buying 8lbs of Winchester 231 for $148, figuring 1600 rounds/lbs (4.3 grains)
With tax and shipped/picked up it comes to $156.61/1000 or $7.83/box of 50 or 15.7 cents/round

brass is free for pick up and plentiful at my club

where do you get your powder and primers from?

Fir me its about $180 per 1000 taxes in. I could do a bit better if a shopped around a bit more, but I prefer to buy from people I know (see: Small local businesses) If I was piccky I could get it to $160

For no particular reason I reload 9mm about 5 times max. 9mm brass is essentially free and unlimited from the range brass bucket.

You guys are killing me with your projectile prices. My local is so expensive and shipping is going to be a killer.

124 gr(1000) 130$
primer (1000) 38$ (My local is up to 50$ for a 1000 now)
231 powder 28$

According to handload Calc.

.19 per rd
9.55 per 50
190.94 per 1000.

Civicbam.. You should look at Marstar for your projectiles. Shipping won't be that much. Probably bring your projectile cost down to $100/1000.

Here are my numbers.

$85 - Berry's 124gr
$36 - Primers CCI
$24 - Titegroup
$7.25 - GST

Roughly $152.25/1000 or $0.152/Round

I would say its a little cheaper as a pound of Titegroup does more than 1000 rounds, but I end up crushing some primers. So I'll call it a wash.

Thanks Travellerw I will.

The local only carries S&B and Hornady now and they are so expensive.

600 90$ for Sellier and bellot
500 90$ for Hornady RN.

I am really sick of there being one store in London and they, what seems to be, jack thier prices.
