9mm reloading

You can get berrys for $75/1000.

I know the sticky has those prices but are they current. Can they still be purchased at those prices?

I'm gonna start reloading myself but I live in Ontario. I get the 9mm brass for free I just need to find places to buy primers, powder, and projectiles. I think shipping from the west coast might eat up the savings. I'll have to do some research.

I buy Berry's from a local commercial reloading company. 124grn $90/1000 (with GST) .

Keeps me pretty happy. The closest other local shop is $120/1000 (plus GST) for Campro bullets.

Wholesale sports seems to be king for primers. Like $32/1000.

I just spoke with John at Canada Ammo. Its on my way to the club so works well and he and his son are both members. $78 for 124gr plated bullets and about $30 for primers. Not so sure I want to spend the bucks for a $500 press though. So somewhere around $140 to load 1000 rounds including powder and primers. Less than half what I can get factory. This is looking doable and Cda Ammo sells reloads too I think. Have to go look at his site. Thanks guys. Lots of valuable info. Looking like a set of Lee carbide dies in my near future.

Carbide is a no-brainer. I load a lot of range pick up brass. It all sees to load and shoot just fine, except for the Berdan cases. I buy cast DRG bullets for around $30/500. My gus work well with the 135 gr Round nose at about 3/4 power.

I had no doubt they'd help you out! Brad is a regular at Skills and Drills too, brings ammo and supplies for guys who pre-arrange.

+1 for the lee pro presses! the primer feed can be a pain sometimes, but overall it does the job. i can get 300 or more per hour. i run 3 of them for 38/357, 9mm, 45acp.

I removed the primer feeder on mine and now I run my tumbled brass through with just the sizing/decapping die then hand prime them and then run them through again with only the expander/powder stage and the seater die. Takes a lot longer now but is still way faster than the single stage.

I fixed my primer feed by reshaping the hole on the primer disc. Then adding a single small zip tie to the rub post.

Now the only time I get a primer problem is when I let the primers run too low (about 1/2 way down the black ramp). If I make sure that never happens then it works very well. In my last 500 rounds I got 4 with sideways primers.

look at the Hornady LNL, I got one fron budget Shooter in January. I only reload 9mm so pay back is around 5500 rounds. It can turn out 3 - 500 rounds an hour. I figured payback in 6 months but as the wige come out with me now, well, I hit payback last week lol.

Cheaper than a dillon too. For 9mm, definately look at progressive press

If you are looking for a fair price on bullets Canadian BDX sells 124gr FMJ bullets for 9mm for $99 per 1000.

I have put over 1000 through my Shadow and have no complaints.
