Looking to get into revolvers as my next handgun, but I don't really want to have to stock a new type of ammo. (Ammo cabinet is getting cramped...)
That being said, I'm stocking 9mm and .40 S&W, so if there's any revolvers out there that accept these rounds that'd be awesome- but 9mm especially, since it is easier to come by.

There have been revolvers made for both. Of the two, it's easier to find a 40. Smith and Wesson made the 610 to take 40 on moonclips i believe.

There have been 9 mil revolvers made (FN Barracuda springs to mind, and i think Smith made a few, but don't know the model off the top of my head) but they tend to be uncommon and pricey as a result. Ruger had a black hawk model that had a 9 mm cylinder as well as a 357 one, but accuracy was allways reported as sketchy with the 9 from what i heard. There's my 2 cents

I was just thinking about one of these the other day:)
I remember a thread on it a while back but can't seem to find it.
I thought I heard that Ruger was going to make one but not sure.
I am a 9mm guy and would love one in a revolver.
Hope someone can produce one.

Smith & Wesson made the 547 in 9mm which had unique extractor so moon clips were not necessary. S&W also made the 940 (9mm) which was a stainless steel J frame that used moon clips. Ruger made the Service Six and Speed Six in 9mm and they used moon clips as well. Other 9mm revolvers that I recall are the Taurus 905, the FN Barracuda (made by Astra), the Korth, the Ruger single action, the Charter Arms pitbull in 9mm Federal and the newly released Charter Arms. I have probably missed a few.

I have owned the Ruger Blackhawk in 9mm/357 I think you will be very disapointed with it. The two bullets are different sizes so the 9mm does shoot well in most cases.

I own the Smith & Wesson model 610. Now that one you will be pleased with as they work very well indeed.

Ruger made a very nice compact 9mm revolver...

SP101 in 9mm

A bit hard to find here, no accuracy problems.

The mother of them all was the ''Medusa'' .

That revolver made by the defunct Phillip & Rogers company could fire, 357 mag, 38 spl, 380acp, 9mm para. and a host of other in the same bullets size.

If your lucky you could finf one used, there was one for sale in the CND access 2 month ago.

A nice little beast that got good review back then.

I collect odd handguns. When I lived in the US I had an interest in 9mm Para revolvers and had Taurus, Smith (two of them), a Ruger and one of the original Charter Arms guns (Pit Bull) in 9mm Federal, which I really liked quite a bit. I also had a "Medusa", which I sold a few years ago. I thought it was a bit over rated, as it required quite a bit of work to get it to shoot rimless ammunition reliably. My favorite was the Smith 547, which is just a beautifully designed and built revolver. I could never find one of the French Barracudas.
