So I went to load some 147gr 9mm copper plated bullets. I've been using Blue Dot and Bullseye for my semi's. I lood in my manuals and there is no listing for either for these bullets. I'm thinking that 3.5 grains of bullseye should be a safe load (it is not compressed). Any sugestions or ideas (other than buy a different powder)?

Most 147 9mm bullets are subsonic rounds, that is, not to exceed the speed of sound on purpose.
So, standard 9mm powder receipes are too hot. You should expect good results with small quantities of WW231, Bullseye, PROMO, RedDot, even Clays and Titegroup. All around 3.5 grains maximum. All probably less than 1000 fps.

Lyman 48 lists 3.4 gr of Bullseye as a starting load for a Speer 147 gr TMJ (part #4006) in a 9mm Luger cartridge, OAL 1.115" and max load of 3.9 gr Bullseye (CCI 500 small pistol primer)
According to them Blue Dot starts at 5.3 gr, max at 6.6 gr for the same bullet.
All subsonic, but the max Blue Dot load is listed at 1052 fps.
