9mm suggestions wanted

Never heard that before, very cool, I'll have to try that. For when the Zombies come and you can't get to your tools, right :)

As for the HP, I have an older one for the beauty of the finish and its history. It has a great grip but the sights and trigger don't hold a candle to any of my other guns. Sure, I could modify all that but why not just by a gun that has most of that taken care of out of the box.

The grips have to be held on by old school slotted screws. Take the slide off and be prepared to use the slide stop as a tool. Once you get the grips off using the cartridge case mouth, go for the mainspring and a way you go.

It is rather cool, old JMB was a genius in so many ways.

thank you for all the suggestions.

Looking at the CZ-75 sp-01, anyone have any experience with the shadowline or the Canadian edition?

Are they worth the extra cash?

Seen them and really can't see the reasoning for the added cost over the regular Shadow. Mind you I really LIKE the stock rubbery grips that came on my Shadow. The slimline alloy scales on the Canadian edition don't fit me or feel right. They are too flat for my hands so I don't feel like I'm getting a nice even contact all around like I get from the stock rubbery grips.

I have the 75 Shadowline. Great pistol and really the last iteration of the 75 series. This gun was designed for IDPA SSP Division prior to the change in the weight limits for SSP and ESP. I prefer the short dust cover and no rail to the SP-01 Shadowline which is the same gun only with a FLDC and rail. All falls to personal choice. Only you can decide whether paying an additional $400 is worth a slightly better trigger and a slightly faster reset and arguably better sights. I do prefer the Shadowline trigger though over the 75B. Both Shadowline guns are very nice examples.

BC Rider has wisdom in his post. I put rubber grips on my Shadowline. I just don't see the advantage of the slim alloy grips when you have Medium large to large hands.

Take Care

I agree with Bill D. If you want to spend : Sig P210= all steel and extremely accurate. For a more reasonable budget: CZ
If you want to do it right: buy both :)

92FS is the answer to all of your questions. 4/5 action heroes agree.

Yeah, he's been using steroids and HGH for literally decades and he's still doing great. Maybe they're not so bad after all.

Rambozo has got a lousy trigger technique and is going to miss his enemies 'cuz he's going to be pulling to the right.
I just got a Remington 1911 R1 9mm. Smooth, hefty and my daughter thinks it a blast to shoot. Hopefully, one day I'll get the chance...

You won't be dissapointed...it's one of my never sell pistols...get lots of mags ...and even more ammo...congrats..

My best two 9MM's are my CZ 85 Combat and CZ 75 Shadow SP-01. Both are incredible and shoot cast bullets as well as they shoot
jacketed, which is not the case for a lot of other 9MM's.

What they ^^ said. Perhaps also look at the Sig Sauer P226 or even the Browning hi Power MkIII which is certainly built like a tank.....

CZ's typically have better triggers than a Browning Hi Power but the Hi Power is built like a Tiger Tank. The ones I used in the military were thirty years old and still worked great. Don't like them much but they are certainly tough.
