i just traded off my 9mm sr9 for a rifle but am now missing shooting a 9mm lol, anyone know where i can buy a 9mm tokarev, i already have a tok in 7.63x25 and also wouldnt mind buying some sort of conversion setup, would i just have to change the barrel?

So you had one of the least expensive Domestic 9mm's, you traded it for a different class of gun, and now you want to convert a $200 pistol to shoot 9mm? Man you are the cheapest of cheap!!! 9mm Tok's are hard to find. You can watch the EE. But people usually want too much for them. Why not just buy a 9mm Norinco or SAM? They can be had in all kinds of different flavours for $350-450.

Go on the EE and see if you can find a Norinco Model 213...a Tokarev clone in 9mm, new they were $99.95 and there were a lot sold at that price.

im not really a handgun guy thats why im "cheap" i dont mind shooting them while my rifle barrels cool

I have a tt-33 in 7.62x25 thought it was fine, my first handgun. But then shooting my new Glock in 9mm don't need the tt any more. But why not pick a good used Glock or something good

its funny how you ask for opinions where to find barrels for your gun and all of sudden guys are sending you in a whole defferent direction, "buy a glock" "your cheap", lol just answer the question or skip it over if you dont know the answer, it happens so often now. The OP will ask best bullet weight and a few posts later we are talking about a whole new topic

I have one of the Norinco 213 "Improved" Tokarev that marstar has. It's been pretty good so far, but requires a bit of sanding to make it smoother. Everywhere is sold out of these, and 9mm conversion kits are super rare to find, so you may be looking for a while.

When you think pistols all shoot like cheap tt-33's and then you shoot a quality piece of hardware you want others to enjoy it to.

To convert the gun to 9mm you would need a barrel and 9mm specific mags (the 7.65 Tok mags are not conducive to feeding the shorter 9mm Para reliably so the interior has to be 'shortened' to handle it). No idea where to get a barrel. Gun Parts Corp. in the US had conversion kits to change the Tok mags to 9mm but I have no idea how well they worked. The factory converted 9mm mags are pretty scarce.

I feed 9mm out of my standard tok mags all the time & have never had a single ftf. The main problem with trying to buy a new 9mm tok is nobody has them at any price & hasn't for quite some time. I think I saw a yugo in the ee last week, no idea if its still there.

Were just offering you options. Because basically everyone who has responded has said your idea is stupid in a nice way. If you lived in the land of the free you would probably be able to find a barrel and mags cheap. Not here. Your options? Buy another cheap gun like numerous people have mentioned. Or keep waiting for that barrel to pop up. You might be waiting a while.
