9mm USP, convince me not to buy it

SD40? My SD9 has the worst trigger I've ever used. People complain about the HK trigger, but it's light years better than that 25c trigger on the SD.

SD40? I've never tried one. I looked it up and that's by smith and Wesson as well. I have an M&P 40

I love the trigger on my usp. On my p30 it has the lem trigger, v1, which I like a lot! I tried the v3 sa/da and I didn't like the trigger much - something I would have to get used to

Parts hard to find.

Proprietary mags are a pain (and included cost)

Importing stuff for them takes forever (mainly parts lol)

Pricing is pretty high for what they are (insert HK Coolaid)

You Wont stop at one, so be prepared for the addiction.

Other then that... well I own a HKUSP .45, USP 9mm Stailness, HK45, and a HKMR223A1 (with a 416 upper) so... uh... buy it. Buy it now!

That's only true if you try reaching it with your thumb, try with the trigger finger or middle finger and problem solved. It even allowed me to keep my grip, something I cannot say with most thumb push button mag release. To me that was a plus, a superior desing, but as I said before my work gun (M&P) has a push button, and I found myself looking for a lever with my middle finger once or twice... That's the only reason I sold my USP, I didn't want to find myself doing that when it would matter most, and under stress I think I might have.

For arguments sake if the usp was your work gun and you removed your trigger finger to change mags and a threat appeared you would be dead to rights. You may have to adjust your grip slightly while using thumb push but you will always be able to fire

I have a PPQ with the paddle mag release and I think it is excellent. I change mags faster with it than the button release pistols I own. I use my middle finger on the mag release with trigger finger on the slide or on the bang switch.

The USP has the ergonomics of a 2x4; imo look at the p30 and the hk45. As mentioned before, expect 85$ mags, expensive parts and extra long wait time for parts and service... If ever needed!
