Pretty new to reloading. Up till now I have only reloaded for my Webley in .38 S&W but I want to try my hand at doing some 9x18 Mak rounds.

I use Unique powder for my .38's and have alot on hand so I was wondering if anyone has any good load data using that powder.

I will be using winchester primers and a 95gr cast lead round nose bullet.

My Lyman manual doesn't list cast loads for the 9 x 18 Mak. but for the 95 gr. FMJ using Unique Min 3.2 grs. @ 672 fps. Max. 4.2 grs. @ 901 fps. Being the cast bullet has less friction and you will gain some velocity I would say somewhere between 3.5 and 4.0 grs. would be a good start.

I haven't tried unique or Red Dot as of yet but I've shot W-231/HP-38,Bullseye and Power Pistol in my 9 x 18 with good success using the Lee 95 gr. RN.

Thank you SK, this is a big help.

I may try to get my hands on some Bullseye if I can find it. Seems all the 9x18 data I come across uses it.
