9x19 bullet preference?

Military 9mm ammo is 115 grain.



Not in Canada - 9mm NATO ball comes in 2 bullet weights, in the US and to a lesser extent the UK both weights can be found in service, in Canada 9mm ball is 124 grain only, as it is in Germany, Belgium, Holland etc. Also note that 9mm NATO ammo is not loaded to SAAMI limits it's loaded to European limits for standard pressure 9mm.
 
So the heavier 147 's make it feel similar shooting a 40 ?

For me I would say no. I find .40 to be a sharper recoil then 9mm.

I prefer 147 in my P225 but not my P7. I've never found RN 147 and I find that the conical shaped bullets don't feed the greatest in my P7.
 
I used to shoot mainly 147 out of my Glock a long time ago (early '90s) but while working some loads for a friends M&P Pro I found I liked the 115gr bullets best and I wasnt really expecting to.
