I used it in my P9 years ago. W540 and HS6 worked with a 145 lead bullet. I used small rifle primers. Lots of pressure with the old power factor. Should be easy making 160pf now.
9x21 Loads
HI,
I have reloaded 9x21 for years and still do, An excellent cartridge that can be chambered in any 9mm hangun, You just need to ream out the barrel.
I have always used AA5 (the original Israely stuff) and stocked up before the factory burned down, Now they are made in europe with a different burn rate to the original.
However, I use 7.5 grs. behind a 124 gr. hp. Which is a nice warm load,I had previously used 8grs. with a 115gr.hp.
Of course I am not playing games or interested in that power factor bull####,I reload for human stopping power.
The 9x21 really performs/screams out of carbine length barrels,Such as the Ruger PC9 OR UZI carbine which was also made in 9x21 at one time. Again just a simple ream job is all that is needed.
9x21 brass is made by STARLINE. Also check on line for various U.S. reloading forums, As although not a main stream caliber in the U.S., Rob Leatham used to shoot 9x21 and that data is still around.
As for dies, You just re-adjust your current 9mm dies for the longer case. Carbide is the way to go and I have always used DILLON.

I have been loading it since 1994, with bullet weights from 115-147gr. The best all around powder I have ever used was 540. I have used AA#7, AA#5, Winchester WAP, HS7, Blue Dot, Unique, IMR 7625, and am trying a new to me powder with the help of an IPSC shooter friend from Germany. All of these loads were for IPSC and steel plate shooting, and my most accurate ever steel load used my cast bullet and Unique. Starline is really the only source for brass, but I have a stock of new Winchester and Hirtenberger which is great stuff if you can find any. Pending on your needs and intended use, I can share some data with you.
