Someone posted about new PP ammunition that is soft point round nose in 7.62X39. The 9X39 mm was designed as a short to intermediate range police sniping rifle for use in Russia & the former USSR member states. Of course, the fancy military projectiles would not be available for us civvies across the pond, but this would be a very much more interesting caliber than the 6.8mm Grendel imo.

An Asian / militarized version of the .35 Remington if you will.

Looks like it would be a reloading only proposition assuming you could even get the chamber dimensions from any source.

With a 250 grain lead or jacketed bullet I am guessing it would have similar ballistics to a .35 Remington, maybe a little slower. Why? Of course it would be far simpler to get a factory gun in .35 Remington, just a fun idea to kick around in your head.

Looks like it was designed in the 1980s to be a sub sonic round for close / medium engagement by police and special forces. It doesn't have the ballistic properties to be ideal for any civilian application. Expensive plinker for the hell of it but I'd be interested.
