I have a Sako-Anzshutz .222. Built in the earl 60's off of the L46 action by Anzschutz before they built there own small centre fire actions. Maybe 6-8000 of them were built.
Shoots great even with the period post reticle 4x scope.
Love the TripleDeuce. This is the third one I have had.

Great rifles 357. Especially those two Remingtons.
Looks like they have also been multiplying in your basement to the point of infestation. Perfect.

A barreled action, E series Remington Model 700, off the EE. A neat two-tone classic stock I refinished. 8 shots at the gun club this morning. 40vmax 23 gr RL7 R-P brass at 3650fps. 100 yards
These Remington 700’s in 222 Rem are gold.

Was at an auction once and they sold a 303 Enfield . On the Barrel of many of them it says 2.22 inches which is the length of the brass. Well these experts decided the rifle was in 222 Remington and listed and sold it as such no matter how hard I tired to change their minds. This ancient old guy bought it and paid like 400 bucks for it and was going to hunt coyotes with it. I to this day wish I could see what happened when he loaded his first round. Their biggest argument when I said look at the bore was a 222 was bigger then a 22 so of course the bore would be big.

Wow, some really nice triple duces here!

I picked this Rem 660 .222 up this fall the way it sits with Tasco 6-24x44, from a 92 year old gentlemen that bought it new. Said less than 200 rounds, Came with 2 box's of unidentified reloads that shoot very well in it. :) Coyotes Don't care for it.

Nice setup. Those older made in Japan Tascos were excellent. I still have a few as well and won't part with them. You did well with that rifle/scope combination.

My 222 Rem came from my neighbor last year. Sadly he just passed away. It is a Marlin - Sako Riihimaki 322 Varmint with a Weaver k6 scope AO.
It has seen little use by me, but I hope to correct that.

*rumour* has it that the Marlin Micro-Groove Rifling washes out fast.

That Sako is just perfect, I love it. I've never done a .222, and have a few other priorities, but it's such a mild cartridge and great rifle it should bring much success hopefully! Lots of other nice rifles in this thread, but I'm a sucker for a Sako.

I have (4) .222 rems, all shoot, 50 gr Nosler Bt, In front of Win 748 powder WSR primers. This is by far the best gopher buster bullet I have found so far. Unfortunately this bullet is getting hard to find and expensive, may have to work up a new load down the road.

L46 with a med heavy barrel in a custom bench rest stock.
A1 Heavy barrel, totally original, beaver tail fore end stock.
Vixen action with sporter barrel, unfortunately some one ground off the iron sights but the gophers don't seem to mind. :)
And a original Anschutz with a sporter barrel.

They ALL shoot very well or should I say, they shoot like a typical .222 Remington's should. :)

Love the bullet you used but Speer 50 gr tnt under 23.6gr h322 are very compatible. (Edit comparable)

YMMV
