Busting up more badgers today with a 222 Rem.

Love the 222 Rem. I've always had one in my safe and always will. My first rifle was an old Savage 340. My current 222 is a Sako A1 sporter. Long live the Triple Deuce.

You must have access to a lot of land , that is a lot of badgers. Are they all headshots?
Today I hunted maybe 3 sections of mixed gopher pasture/crop land.
Most are headshots because that’s what you see sticking out of the hole, or the grass. The white face makes a nice target. The 40 vmax really works well. There is an audible thwap on a hit. All of one shot kills, no runners except for the one that got it first in the nose, needed a second but still never left it’s mound.

Thanks Rob.
Last week I reached down a hole to pull a dead one out. And there was another one, fully live and hissing at me below it. I’m sure I wouldn’t go out of my way to touch a live one with anything other then a bullet. Those guys catching them with blankets are nuts. Crazy video alright.
