A BIG Thank You to Barney (Hungry)

Hello all,

First and foremost I would like to thank Hungry for his help today, taking time out of his sunday to help me with my norc m14, as I was unable to make the last clinic that was held in oshawa. For anyone who has a norc or any m14 really, I would highly suggest getting out to one of his clinics he has a vast knowledge of this rifle! American or Chinese versions. As it turns out my barrel was under indexed and needed some tightening as well the gas system needed to be shimmed plus showing me a few tricks when it comes to removing the norc flash suppressors, key areas to grease and a tube of grease to take home. His teaching skills are great and getting me to do the work too also helps me to improve my knowledge of the m14 for future m14 purchases, the action on my rifle has never been smoother! Thanks Barney for all you help!! I will get a range report up in a week or two with pics.

we met up for a couple of hours and had lunch when he was down here in NZ last, and I probably learned more in that 2 hours about M14's than i have in all my time here in CGN

Hey, your kind words are all wrong

It's me who should be thanking all of you because this "helping" effort is my therapy for my PTSD (Post Teaching Stress Disfzcktion) brought on at my high school.

Being around M14's on a super serious basis is wonderful stress reliever. Watching you guys learn and then master the skills of tightening up your gas cylinders is absolute joy for me! All POSITIVE moments to relieve the negative karma in my blood stream. Time to breathe out...

Wait until CQB clinics! Lots of laughter there!!

Hey, not just M-14s, I hear Barney is the guy to go to when your Desert Eagle falls into a sh!tter!

My thanks as well, Barney, for putting together my SEI/LRB this Sunday (met CeeJay as well). It was well worth the 12hr round trip from Ottawa!!! My M-14 now pings like a pinball machine!!!

Barney is definitely one of the most helpful people I've had the opportunity to meet. Being a fresh newbie to the shooting world, he's been super helpful when jump the gun #### loss fear has struck me. Will definitely jump on a nearby m14 clinic when the opportunity arises!
