I really appreciated what this Gunsmith did for me.

Spent the weekend shooting at a friends cottage, afterwards
I alway strip down my guns and clean them. My friend had
never cleaned inside the receiver of his Browning BLR 308
for 20 years so I offered to do it for him. Nightmare city.

-Drove the pins out the wrong way using tremendous hammer blows

-scuffed up the receiver pretty good

-lost the spring for the hammer hold back thingy

-damaged the receiver by letting the hammer fall mulitple times without
the bolt in place, bolt then wouldn't move very well were it was supposed move
freely.

Monday - called Browning, they told me they no longer sell the spring and gave me
a number to call, this company doesn't ship to Canada, Browing warned me that
to set the timing for the "Gear" isn't easy to do AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN
THE GUN APART. Jeepers.

Drove one hour to Casey at Tactical Ordinance and left the gun with him.

Got a call from him today and drove up to fetch the gun expecting a $150 bill.
$68 and he re-blued the receiver, fixed the damaged receiver so the bolt moves
freely and installed a new spring as well as putting this insane gun back together
again.

Gun works like a charm and looks fantastic.

Casey is a first class guy and took some time to answer some of my
gun question and it was fascinating to hear somebody with a massive
depth of knowledge share his views.

Absolutely agree Brendan, Casey is About 20 minutes from me. Just a fantastic guy, trustworthy, Extremely honest and you're absolutely right... a Wealth of knowledge.
He did some trigger work for me on a couple guns recently, same thing, I expected the bill to be twice the amount it was ...
So fortunate to have such a man so handy and close to us!
