A bit of a dilemma

Fellas i have a bit of a dilemma, i have a couple of CG 96s that shoot extremely
well.
That's the primary reason that i want to buy a hunting rifle in that caliber
(6.5x55), now my CGs like IMR7828 and RL22 which are slow powders, and the
rifles that I'm looking at are 2 CZ .
My favorite a CZ 550 fs 20.5 inches barrel, second choice a CZ 550 lux 24 inches barrel, now conventional wisdom tells me that for such slow powders
a 24 inch barrel works best.
I'm at a cross road and don't know where to go.
Some opinions will be appreciated, thanks.

Buy what ever you want and other powders work well too.

I'd probably go with the FS and shorter barrel and just try some faster powders. I'll have to look at my logs and see what I have used in the past but RL15 sticks in my mind...

Whichever powder gives the best velocity in a longer barrel will probably also give the best velocity in a shorter barrel. Odds are that the powders you have on hand will also work fine in the CZ 550 FS.
