I shot one of these years ago and it was the most accurate slug gun I've ever encountered. It's great that they are making them again.

Whitetail hunters in ON have plenty of reasons for investing in a rifle bbl'd slug gun as there are a whole bunch of WMUs in the southern regions of ON that are either MLs and/or Slug Gun areas only.

Personally, I would very much like to see Browning offer a 20ga version as well. The current offer of Savage bolt slug guns are ok but won't be near the standard of a A-Bolt obviously. Besides the Brownings are also equipped with irons which will be adequate for many folks hunting those WMUs......the shooting distances are generally not that long.

I would rather have one of the Marlin Slugmasters. - Bolt Action shotgun snobbery is just wrong. :D Seriously, it looks like a nice shotgun but not one that is in my price range.

On youtube there is a clip by some fellow from New Zealand who has some sort of old 12 gauge Marlin "swamp gun" with a really short barrel. I was thinking that would be a nice shotgun for bush bashing around the terrain we have in Nova Scotia.

thy do look like a nice slug gun . and a lot of guys here are going to the 20g slug . i would rather buy the ithaca 37 deer slayer 3 for about the same money. i got to shjot one in 20g at range day last year and it would shot one inch grups all day at 100 yaRDS DUTCH

I shot a 1" "grup" last fall unfortunately they were out season.

Seriously though if you had a 37 slug gun that would shoot 1" groups all day long it must have been magical. The one I had at it's best was 3"s at 100 yds.

Yes but yours is a 1967 version bought with your old super x 1's.:D
I know my deerslayer 111 will do under 2" at 100 under that is probally my fault. The old deer slayer I had would be lucky to do 4". The latest ones are much better.
