There is Abbotsford airport too ... either way is about an hour to TMSA, except I am pretty sure we have some guys coming to shoot who live in the Mission/Abbotsford area.

I have been putting off getting a 10/22 and waiting for the GSG-5's to come out. I'm not sure how much longer I can wait though. I really want a "black" looking .22. I was also thinking about adding the 10/22 receiver to the Nordic parts, then adding an aftermarket trigger set, barrel etc. But I don't want to start getting two of them together (one for me, one for my son) and then the GSG-5 gets reclassified. D'oh!?! Damn, I don't know what to do.

Get a 10-22.
You and your son can share it (yes even at a match) until the GSG-5 comes to the marketplace. Bear in mind that it could literally be years from now before the GSG-5 is approved for Canada. Time is wasting ...
And should you change your mind, the Ruger is popular enough it could easily be sold at very little loss, and you would have had the use of the rifle for that time.

Action 22 dates this year are:
July 6; Aug 3; Oct 19
We set up in the morning of the match and start at 1:00pm. Registration is from 12:30 to 1:00.
Fees are $20 and everyone is expected to help with clean up afterwards.
Matches are held at TMSA in Pitt Meadows B.C.
