That is the story from one side, have you heard any other versions? James Bachynsky has made it know to many that he HATES J.R. and what lengths do you think he would go to in making J.R. look bad to save any blame being placed on James' shoulders? They used to be business partners, but are no longer, why do you think that is? You want to get mad at someone? Get mad at the person who imported the "remanufactured" FA rifles into this country, they are the real villain here as they would have been aware that a receiver that starts life as a FA will always be FA, regardless of what you do to it. That person imported and sold these rifles to lawful gun owners for their own gain under the guise that the rifles were something other that what they really were. This was not done by J.R, but I'm guessing you don't have the time to research that, hopefully because you are writing/calling/e-mailling your MP, Mr. Harper and Steven Blaney, Minister of Public Safety to stop this arbitrary RCMP decision.
Also, when you want to be taken seriously, spelling counts...
I don't see it that way. How is it different for CSC to import these remanufactured ones than the ones TSE sold? Nothing, except that TSE didn't get to profit from the original sale. They want their exclusivity to remain so, and went after CSC by filing a complaint. What did he think was gonna happen when the RCMP started to look into it further?

Here is another article, it is still from info from James, but has significant documentation in it. Since JR refuses to comment on the situation it is difficult to get his "side" of the story. However, the RCMP lab emails speak volumes for the skeptic in you. The CSC rifle was deemed not converted while the two provided by JR were both deemed converted. So while JR stirred up the whole mess, his rifles failed to pass the inspection and caused this whole mess because he got into a pissing contest with his competitor. So yes, I will get angry at the guy who imported and sold the FA receivers, because I did research that, unlike you before shooting off you mouth.

Really? Seems the evidence is piling up. Something in the corn flakes in Calgary or is this normal for competing dealers? I've never heard of this type of 'dog eat dog' behaviour in this industry, until now.
Ok, who imported the 16 rifles in question? Also, who owns Swiss 3A AG? Since this article you are referring to as gospel is your resource, why is there no reply posted to this directive posed by William Etter, the listed author:"10. It is incumbent upon you to conclusively support your statements that these firearms (contained in List 2) are variant or modified versions of the SG540 as has been maintained both by you and various Swiss Arms AG employees for the last 12 years. Also required is a definitive statement supported by factory drawings and official Swiss Arms AG signed documents that the firearms contained in List 2 are not variant or modified versions of the SG550 or SG551."
There is no posted response to any of the requests in the e-mail from Mr. Etter, so that leaves out some important answers from this complex chain.
I would like it to be known that I do not see eye to eye with J.R. Cox on several things and I have done a reasonable amount of research on this current debacle; I am not just shooting off my mouth. There are some important questions that need to be answered before you crucify anyone. For example, why is there no date on the Swiss Arms letter? I guarantee that a Swiss company, writing on it's letterhead, would date their correspondence. Also, can you prove that the e-mail from Mr. Etter is genuine and intact? There appears to be plenty of dirty pool and mud slinging going on here, so keep that in mind when you quote one source for truth.
