this is a stainles savage model 16 in 325 WSM. It has a vortex crossfire (ya I know, probably not ideal for a magnum), the vortex is nice cause Im not sure any other brands would accept warranty claims after its been painted.

I tried to do the camo dip kit and it turned out like crap, to fix it I cleaned the camo dip off with acetone and the bought a rifle and scope kit from mossy oak, and kryloned it with olive paint first. There is better looking products, but this was cheap and I thought Id post some pics for other to see if they are curious to do something similar. If I change my mind I can sand blast everything off and try something else, but this is for a bush gun and not a safe queen so Im alright if it isnt perfect.

I ordered their rifle kit and their scope kit from mossy oak (website, some sales going on) and had it shipped to MSO (border shipping warehouse) cost about $2 to get them to recieve it.

I probably wouldnt have tried this setup, but it looked blasphemous with the poor results from the camo dip kit.

This probably isnt to everyone's liking though most of the feedback is positive, but I do like to try new things, especially if someone says "cant be done".

Took it ot sibbald flats (homestead range) west of calgary to make sure it was shooting fine since I pulled it apart and reassembled, it shot great.

It's actually a lot easier to put on then it may look, and the Krylon dries quick (ten minutes). It took more time to try and figure out how to get the savage trigger back together then put the wrap on.

nice job I myself really like those mossy oak kits, much nicer than most rattle can or dip jobs. They look as good as most factory cammo. Myself I like black metal but the green is very appropriate.

It may seem strange, but I don't have issues with leaving my rifles laying around or forgotten in the bush so I'm not really concerned about losing it.

I am looking forward to using it though, gonna be headed out for a week of hunting on Sunday.
