THE NANUK 935 6-UP

Well I just received it, and the initial impressions are good. Nice quality, solid feel. Handles are well-designed, buckles are really nice. The layout is nice inside, with enough space for full size combination or keyed trigger locks on all the guns. My Canik Rival just barely fits in due to the length and magwell - so if your gun is really long or chunky, be prepared to custom cut, but if you want proper thickness of protection, don't try to stuff anything longer than 5 1/4 inch barrel in there.

The center part of it can actually be pulled out to turn it into a 4 pistol case with room in the middle for range gear, which is a nice option, as long as it isn't going to be smashing around during transport.
The only reason I'd be holding back a star is because they really could have cut the mag slots better, to get 3 in each section rather than 2... and the foam feels like it's going to deteriorate faster than you'd like. I bet they charge an arm and a leg for replacement foam.

Ultimately, it's a good buy if you have 4 or more pistols that you want to take out each time, when a standard Plano or Vanguard 1-pistol case will set you back $80-100 alone. It's not cheap... but Tenda does have the best price for it that I found. And I wish I'd chosen orange over yellow LOL. But I sure won't lose it LOL.

And they're made in Canada.

I can't help wondering after reading your post..... how much?
I guess it's in the link, but I figure you must know what it costs.... :)

Looks pretty bomber that's for sure, sort of screams "expensive s h i t inside" so keep it out of sight!

Edit, $338 plus tax.

I saw the nanuks first when I was looking for something similar. The price made me look elsewhere. Decided to ship a 4-revolver Case Club to a US border town instead. Think it was $160 after currency conversion.

My Nanuk 935 just arrived recently as well. I thought it was a very well made case including the hard interior foam. A bit pricey but highly recommend in terms of quality. One of the most important components is that it allows space for trigger locks which many of the competitors did not do. Benefit of being Canadian made.

I have two of the 4-up cases, great quality and well built. Good for standard “1911” style hand guns, but my Ruger Mark IV’s do not fit. Both of mine are black. Look professional when you arrive at the range, LOL.

Looked at them, then. Bought a briefcase for $5 at a thrift store. Been using it for 15 years. Holds 4 6” revolvers no problem. Foam was about $5 to line it. I’d rather spend the money on mags or components

Where'd you buy the foam and what kind is it?

For those who buought these cases, one little word of warning:

The foam inside is very rigid and if you slide your gun in too quickly, you may rub off the cerakote. It happened to me

Holy smokes who did your cerakote job if some foam scraped it off? How’s it supposed to handle a holster?!

They regularly go on sale. And I would imagine once the ban is voted in they will have a huge clearance sale.

Hardcases.ca has Black Friday sales... wait and see what comes up this year, especially post-freeze.

Tenda is getting thrashed in another thread, so I wouldn't be in a huge hurry to buy from them...

I have 7 nanuk cases now, the two 4 pistol cases get the most use, I have the same case as OP posted but unfortunately without the foam for the guns, had lots of individual compartments, but the price was right. I should try and source the 6 up foam sometime.

I've bought several things from Tenda and they have consistently had the best price on the things I've been looking for, and shipped very quickly. Don't let a couple internet whiners ruin your opinion of the company and prevent you from buying something you need, especially if they're the only place that has it...

As one of the so called "Internet Whiners" I will never buy another item from them, nor would I ever recommend them. Their business practises are shady.
