A Cautionary Tale: Loading .300blk Into 5.56 AR

That's why I won't take one of my 300blk rifles to the range with a 223 if I'm going with anyone who I will be letting shoot my rifles. If I'm alone I'll take both out but am very careful and keep the ammo and mags separate.
It shouldn't actually be able to chamber a 300 in a 223 but if the bullet were to be pushed back into the case or if you were shooting shorter bullets like a 110gr there is a chance.
People need to be careful and pay attention to what they're doing, this really shouldn't need to be said when using firearms but some people are careless and if you add to that someone who is inexperienced you have a dangerous situation.

Be careful everyone

Punching the forward assist can get the bolt closed. I have seen a bullet from a .300 which was removed from a 5.56 rifle's barrel. Loooongest .22 bullet I've ever seen. The rifle was destroyed, of course.

Ya, I've seen the pics, not a good day for that guy. It all comes down to operator error though and if people pay attention this can easily be avoided.

Spray paint, and color match a bunch of mags to the gun to be retard proof.

Lol, but I have 2 semi auto 300BLK that take AR mags and 4 semi auto 223/5.56 plus 20 pmags and at least another 20 metal bodied magazines. I think I'll just pay attention to what I'm doing when loading my rifles.
My 223 and 300BLK bolt guns both use AI mags.
I'm and accident waiting to happen I guess ;)
