Good review. One of these days I hope someone lets me try a 1911 so I can have an opinion on the design. Until then, I will be happy with my Glock 22.

Great review....thanks! You've rekindled my interest in a 9mm 1911. Now this lefty just has to find one with ambi safeties.

BTW I have no problem with old threads like this one being bumped up....OP produced a very interesting read.
