A Couple New Lever Guns For The New Year!9422 Pics added.

Well, January has been very good to me, so I thought I would treat myself. Other than the two winchester 9422's, I have no other lever guns. So I went out and came across an 1873-1973 R.C.M.P. comemorative 30-30 and ordered a Marlin guide gun 45-70. The comemorative has never been shot, but has not been taken care of well enough to have any collector value, so it will be shot very soon. I should have them home in a few weeks so I will try to post pics then.

I heard it's one of the best .22 rifles ever made. My uncle had a .22 magnum in 9422 some years back which was quite impressive. My dad was doing some informal plinking with him one day and ask to try it. He saw a squirrel down the field at 100 yards or so. One shot and bye bye squirrel! My dad was completely beside himself as he wasn't expecting to even hit the darn thing!

I love my 9422's, by far my favorite .22's. (I have an old BRNO that I quite like as well though) They don't seem to like the real cheap American Eagle ammo (extracting), but everything else seems to work fine. Plenty accurate for IMO for a .22. We used them for years as farm guns, gophers and plinking, so there are some marks on the stocks. Sorry about the photo's I'm no photographer, but here we go.

I have to wait to get paid for a couple deals before I pick up the next two, but will post pics when I get them.

Is your RCMP model a members model or a civilian model? Difference will be in the serial number RCMP or MP.

S/N: starts with RCMP, so yes it's just the civilian model I believe. It has never been fired, but was not stored very well, so I have a bit of work to do to try and clean it up. I have seen much worse though. I don't know if I over paid($475), but I never had seen one before and kind of liked it. I am not usually a huge fan of the shiny gold plating, but figured I should own at least one.
