Muzzle nuts, that is. I like my Savage 10 Precision Carbine just fine, but that abortion of a muzzle
nut to cover the threads was buggin' me. So yesterday, I grabbed a chunk of C360 brass round bar
and whittled up my own version. Took a bit of fun time on the lathe, but I'm happy with the results.:)

Completed unit. Much better than the "acorn" thingy it replaced.

Next up will be a replacement for the nut on my Savage Mk II FVSR.;)

Any particular reason you flared it? Just curious. Kinda looks like a mini musket. ;)

I'll know how it shoots in a couple of weeks due to our range closure.(Maintenance)
Gives me time to get some target loads whipped up and to get some proper shooting bags ready.
Initial test firing from the bench using Winchester "white box" .55 grainers showed promise resting
just the fore end.:) Note the date on the target......Old Guy Syndrome!

As fer makin' these in quantity, I use my buddy's lathe at his fab shop, so that might not be a
good thing to push on a busy place.;)
