A CZ 457 LRP BLACK CZ 457 LRP is worth a third more than a CZ MTR 22 LR MATCH ?

Got the LRP 2 years ago and a great rifle, very accurate but other than the stock difference and visuals the MTR is about the same metal and accuracy, a lot of people ditch the MTR stock for an after market though which adds to its price. More people want the LRP so price goes up. I own 4 CZ 22s now!

I looked at a few 457’s today.
Varmint was nice.
Royal was not as nice as I thought it would be. Thin barrel.
LRP was nicer than I thought it would be. Very flat forend. Adjustable cheek, adjustable but pad, felt nice in the hand. Did not like the brake,( must come with thread cap? ) Also it would need a bag rider added, since the pic rail is not comfortable bare at all.
It looks like many MTR owners use cheek risers.

Bought my LRP after the initial price had gone up to 1199 I think, have an older 455 varmint and another 455 with Krg stock and Lilja 1:9 barrel and my LRP is the most consistent shooter with mostly rifle match but the stock would be nice to upgrade maybe. I’m very happy with my 457 and glad I got it when I did, very pricey now driven by demand and performance. Thought about an MTR as I shoot mostly indoor bench at our local club but liked the LRP adjustable stock. I really like the bolt and smooth action on the 457 vs the 455.

Looked into the rifle a bit, it seems that the muzzle was originally threaded for an included suppressor, I suppose for Europe and some US states. but here suggesting that the compensator is attached to Canadian sales as the cheapest replacement possible. Oh well, if they had at least put on a tuner of equal value to the factory suppressor and then tacked on the US-CAN exchange I might have been a customer, but I guess I'll pass on this model.

So I saw a CZ 457 Varmint in HMR, but it had a threaded muzzle. Does the Varmint in .22lr have a threaded muzzle? Online photos say no.

LRPs come with fluted barrels, Muzzle device, QD flush cup & Adjustable stocks. Totally worth an extra 500 if you’re into that sort of thing. The adjustability of the stock is a justifiable edge over the standard MTR stock. The price of the difference you could invest in an MDT XRS or other chassis that isn’t made of wood. That’s the route I’d take but the choice is yours.

Edit. LRP stock is Synthetic.

Actually the LRP stock (the grey one, at least) is wood with a kind of rubberized coating. Source: I drilled a hole in mine to mount a rail.

The (grey) stock is listed as a composite however, and I assume the barrel is free floating anyway. Having now found a screw-on tuner made to replace the compensator, I'm going hot and cold on this rifle.

I think either grey or black is wood. I say that’s not the greatest material for what that particular rifles market is going for. Wear and tear on barricades and such.
