a day at the range... sub moa

Looks like fun.

Just today a buddy (complete gun noob) and I were out plinking with .22, .223. and a 1916 Spanish Mauser in 308. Had targets set up at 30 (for the .22 and .308 as I had never fired it yet) 130 for the .223 precision rig, and 180y steel plate (5"x10") for some fun with the .223. As were shooting the .22 I took aim at the steel plate (which was not really visible as it was rust colored and up against a tree in the shade). I called the shot to my buddy, who said "Yeah, right, give you 50 bucks if you hit it. Bang. .5-1 second later "TING". I was 50 bucks richer. Proved my buddy that even a SR-22 with a vortex Strikefire redot can hit the steel way out.

Took my Mossy Tact out today.
I was sitting at a bench and using a bipod at 50yd
A Bushnell Trophy red dot is riding on top.
10 plus 1 ghost rnd loaded up
1/2" squares on the target.

With a scope with some magnification , I bet could get those groups tighter.
Shooting slow and deliberate is Ok...( for my old Cooey single shot :D )
..but my Mossy Tact just isn't intened for that...:ar15:

Lost count ...a mix of Fed's and Win's and as fast as I could fan the trigger..

Haha! Very nice. What bipod are you using? I have one that flops around in every direction on it.. it just sucks. Right not I'm trying to figure out a scope for 'er.
