A different kind of cheek rest

I had this CAA-ACP cheek rest kicking around from a project that didn't come together, so I thought I would try something different.

I added a little piece of rail to the right side of my USGI fiberglass stock clipped it on

I had to cut off the two pointy things at the front to get it to fit reasonalby well. It dosn't quite go all the way down flush with the stock but it comes off quickly if you want to change to iron sights.

I can't think of any advantages over the current Kydex ones out there but I think it looks cooler and its alittle different.

Interesting.

I think you'll find that leaving the top of the cheek rest about .7" higher than the top of the stock is ideal for use with iron sights.
