What's next?

Hit hard doesnt really describe it! I am infected with a disease...

Next up is Argentina for water buffalo, blackbuck, mouflon, russian boar w/spears, and 3 days of doves

Black bear in BC with dogs and a spear if all is confirmed to be legal

Then I have a fly in grizzly hunt in June for 12 days, this will be my third attept for grizzly in my then 4 years of hunting, but my first attempt with a bow

Then I take er easy until August first where we fly in for 18 days of stone sheep hunting

From there I will try for a whitetail with my recurve

Then its north for Caribou for 8 days

14 days of elk hunting in the middle of september, should have opportunity for goats, sheep, moose, which will be done on horseback

Then its moose with the father in law for 10 days

Then pronghorn in WY for 5 days

However if I get any decent LEH's then I may have some slight re-arranging to do.

I am trying to get everything in BC by the time I'm 40. Still have all the really hard ones to get. So we'll se how the year turns out. Thanks for all the good words guys, it makes me keep posting on this site. Dave

Excellent pics and writeup, but this pic beats them all hands down. Congratulations.

Boar hunting with dogs and spear!

Man that's medieval!

So, do you aim for the African Big Five before you're 45?

I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere, because I couldn't spend that much time in the field and still claim to be working:cool:

It doesn't matter, you can't put a price on that kind of experience. Great pics, great story, great year!

That's for us others that don't have a money printing machine in our basements.

This thread is awesome, I don't think I'll ever be able to have that much time to myself to be able to go on a hunting spree like this. You're a role model to a lot of us here .:D

great hunts but what was the price tag??????

My book of BC tags was about $520. Many tags went uncut. Gas probably a few bills. Gear don't even want to imagine. Time off wasn't so bad as I work using my cell phone so most hunts I was still working. Horse rental was $1500 for 3 horses for 14 days. Bison I was going alone which I didn't think wise so I booked a resident hunt with the outfitter $4500. Would have been $3000 doing it on my own. The taxidermy is going to kill me though, wolf life-size, wolf head mount, book bear head mount, 2 coyotes full mount mother and baby, goat rug, and the rest I did my own euro mounts.
