Last week I took the family for a drive to get revved for my hunt to west central ALberta from November 6th to 13th. Here are a few pics of some of the critters we encountered. This is in a park near the Ottawa River in Quebec.
Nice bull elk

I tried putting that whitie in the back of the truck but he wasn't that interested. Oh well maybe I'll get a bigger one next week.

It is Paec Omega, located just north of Montebello, QC. It is a great place to take the kids (dad too). They have about 1800 acres of land with elk, fallow dear, boars, bison, ibex, etc. You drive through about 10 kms of a gravel road and feed the critters carrots and apples. Bring your own it is cheaper. Fall is a great time to go, leaves are down, bulls and bucks are agressive and no bugs.

Make sure you do not a nice car! The pigs love to jump up on your car. It is pretty neat for kids, but it is kind of Expensive.

Just a small word of advice. The rut is on soon if not already and WT bucks can get a little cranky. With a rack like that he could do a bit of damage. One thing to consider with tame animals.

Other than that those are some nice pictures. And next time have an apple for that guy.
