I would like to first thank a few members for helping me with parts, without your help and time none of this would be possible! Thanks to FishDoc and rgg_7, and some local help, much appreciation!

I have been hunting for quite some time and my first rifle was a 1915 carl gustaf 6.5x55, all numbers match, unfortunately it has been sporterized over 20 years ago. But it still is very pretty and is a tack driver.

I have an interest in red rifles, I own a few SKS's and a Mosin.
But these LE's really caught my eye, they are truly a beautiful rifle.

So, I thought I would share I few I purchased and returned to their former glory.

I just finished these up, range trip is in a few weeks.
First up:

No.4 Mk1 ROF

This has an uncut barrel so I wanted to bring it back, It needed everything, bore is excellent. I did order some wood from Tradeex, but it is too dark for my liking, I have since ordered a brand new unissued walnut butt to complete the build.
I could not find a walnut forend for the price I wanted, so I dyed a Dewat beech forend with brown and black RIT dye. All pieces are finished in BLO.

I am on the look out for a nice walnut forend and bayo, then I will be happy with this project.

Second is No.4 Mk1/2 F56 FTR

This came with barrel cut and sporterized from England I assume ( hood over sight?)
I know that it will never be worth anything due to its cut barrel, however I wanted a range shooter that was nice to look at. To me its not a waste of money to restore it, I'm happy with the outcome.
The Front Guard Screw was seized and was quite a chore to get out, I also had to make a new bushing for it.

Third up is No.5 Mk1 1/45 Jungle carbine

Bubba had got his hands on this one and cut off sight ears, and added a hunting front sight.
I stripped all the wood and finished in a few coats of BLO.
I bought a new flash hider from Numrich and installed today. I still need a sight blade for this one. I would love to find a bayo, but they are expensive!!
Other than that it was complete, I cant wait to get this to the range.

Hope you enjoy my photos, I had a great time with these, they are addictive.
There is a forth on the way, going to make a LE L42A1 clone, the barrel is cut so I do not mind modifying this one.

Great looking rifles. (now) Can we make it a felony to bubba any more Enfields?
Replica bayos for the number 5 are cheaper but just not the same. I would never give up my original.

Good job Ryan. You've got three good Enfields that should turn a few heads when they get some range time. Ron

Just a bit of an update, I have since did the dye over on the No.4 Mk1 ROF, and I am waiting for my walnut butt to arrive in the mail.( I will post up new pics)

I have bought 2 LE sporters since my last post and would like to share.
I am making a blonde and dark walnut L42A1 look alike except still in the .303 caliber.
The Dark LB will retain its open sights, and since the other is stamped up quite abit I will be adding a LE repro scope mount, cheek rest and my weaver K3.

This dark walnut 1942 No.4 Mk1 Long branch will be my sons Christmas gift from me this year, his first hunting rifle.

*** NO full wood or collector pieces were harmed during these builds, they were all made from sporter stocks and hand guards that were missing metal/damaged or Pakistani ordnance wood from Tradeex.****

So this is my 1942 Long Branch L42a1 furniture style build. Too bad the barrel has been cut! It is in fine shape, very nice bore. The forend is beech and is colored in Rit dye ( black, red, yellow) mixed with rubbing alcohol. All wood coated in BOL, front of barrel had the rustys so it was lightly steel wooled and blued. I will be adding an appropriate sling and magazine when it arrives.

A beauty. Is that a .308 magazine?

So you have another blonde you're scoping? Make sure to post pics of that. I like that idea...and I've got a K3 that needs a home. Gunshow coming up. I feel a project coming on...

Yes, a blonde built exactly like this last one, pads are on order and I need a repro mount, my K3 is similar to the sniper scope used. I want it to look period...i will post up a few pics when its complete.

Its a promag magazine, I really do not like the look of it, and I do not now how it will function, it came with the rifle on purchase.

You are headed up to truro? I'll see ya there!
