I just saw Guntech's post and figured I'd post some pics of two rem 700's I have completed recently.

This one is a trued up long action in 6.5/284 with a 28" Bartlein barrel and a Shrewd varmint brake on the end. The stock is an H-S slightly modified around the grip. The bolt handle is a custom deal I made. Tunned up the rem trigger for now and will install a Rifle Basics or a Jewel once I get some more cash to spend on it. I just finished the dura-coat today and got her back together a few hours ago. With any luck I'll see how she shoots tomorrow.

In front is a pic of a 308 I built back in April for the Edmonton sniper shoot. Same sort of thing as the 6.5/284 but it also has a Badger AI mag conversion and a Rifle Basics trigger. Shoots very nice!!! (for a 308:redface:)

I'm waiting for my wife to get one of the kids back to sleep so I took a quick picture for you.

I used devcon to blend it in with the rest of the handle and it worked good but when I blasted it before painting the texture of the decon changed an I didn't notice. Piss me off! now you can see the blend material but it doesn't look too bad so I didn't bother fixing it.

I have tried a few different styles now but I sure like this one. Easy to make, feels good and looks not bad.

28" barrell thats sooooooo 1980's all the cool ppl are shooting 30" pipes these days. you should just give that gun to me. once again dave u have managed to impress me with a beatuful gun. almost as nice as mine. NOT TOO BAD FOR A TREE FARMER.
 
Job well done, rifle looks great and i bet its a blast to shoot! That bolt handle looks good too. Definitely a nice touch.
 
I have seen these guns and they are sweet oh so sweet.

Funny how the offer of "hey, want to try it" never comes up tho';)
