I just got my Dillon square deal B machine and I gotta say its the easiest machine to set up and use. Right now I have it set up for 9mm and the best part, the dies come already set up. Of course not to my specs, but still pretty accurate.

Im very cramped for space so I went out to crappy tire and bought a Jobmate fold-able bench for $17(can't go wrong) and cut up a $30 piece of 3/4" plywood and made a larger worktop. Its surprisingly sturdy and solid. Im very happy with it.

I was thinking of building my own stand with some metal at work, but I didn't want to bother the metal fabricators, so I started searching online. I found a nice solid stand from inlinefabrication.com. I ended up getting the stand and the LED light for $90.

So which brings me to my loads. I've been searching online for loads using WIN 231 and haven't found much. The Hodgdons site only lists WIN 231 with 125gr FMJ at 4.4 - 4.8. My Lees manual had the same recipe for 125 Grs, nothing for 124 grs. People on other forums were around that measurement and even below. Tomorrow i'm going to test my 3 different loads to see which works best for me.

My first load is

Powder- WIN 231
Bullet- Berrys 9mm 124 gr RN
Grains - 3.9 grs
OAL- 1.129

Powder- WIN 231
Bullet- Berrys 9mm 124 gr RN
Grains - 4.2 grs
OAL- 1.155

Powder- WIN 231
Bullet- Berrys 9mm 124 gr RN
Grains - 4.4 grs
OAL- 1.125

I'd say the first load is too light, and may be noticeably dirty. The second and 3rd loads seem about right- I worked up a load for my Shadow: 4.3gr W231 for the Berry's 124gr.

So here are my results all fired out of my s&w M&P 9mm

3.9grs of Win 231 Oal of 1.129
Very little recoil, felt as if I was shooting a 22. I had no FTF or FTE.

4.2grs of Win 231 Oal of 1.155
a little more recoil than the 3.9 grs, 1 squib(not sure if the primer was bad or if I forgot to load powder) No FTE

4.4 Grs of Win 231 OAL of 1.125
felt more like a factory load with a little less recoil, no FTF or FTE.

All recipes shot pretty accurate and im happy with the 4.4grs. Although I think I might try 4.6grs next time out on the range.
