I saw these beauties in my local S&W dealers and couldnt resist. From the sounds of it, its going to be a lean year on Smith and Wesson`s, with some dealers quoting a year plus on orders.

sorry but i find the performance centre guns, ugly as hell, too bad they couldnt just make them with the same specs but without the the ugly spaceage look.

Fair comment, each to there own. I have seen alot of excitment over the 44 mag 4.25", held one yesterday and didn`t see what all the fuss was over.
but thats just the way it is i guess.

I like em Vern. I picked up a 627VComp and couldn't be happier with it. I still love the classics, and still have a 27-2, 19-5 and a newer 629 but I'm glad S&W is pushing the envelope with the new ones. You may not like'm all but everyone's taste is different.

Can you feel my raging jealousy through the internet?

Congratulations, and probably a wise move to pick them up now. I doubt they're going to devalue a whole lot, that's for sure.

The 327`s have the scandium frame, you can see where the stainless barrel screws in. As regards the Stealth Hunter, I think its all stainless and has a coating on it to give it the black look, could be wrong of course.
Interestingly, I went to Gander mountain in the states and they had a Stealth Hunter for over $1700.00 I paid less here in Canada for the same gun. That doesnt happen alot. LOL

I agree with you I do not see at all what all the hype is about the new 629 4.2 inch barrel. To me it doesn't look good at all with the 1/2 lug, somehow it just looks unfinished. Also when people use it and find out how much recoil it has with factory loads I think there will be lots for sale soon enough used.

Now on another note your three new guns look pretty neat.

Just my two cents worth.

Nice collection, almost got the 327 but instead saving up for 627 V-Comp and python to go with my 686+. 7 shots is great for flinch testing, leave one empty, see if you flinch when it doesn't go pop.

Couldn't agree with you more, my 8 3/8" 629 with the 1/3 lug recoils comfortably with factory, even after 100 rounds. Would luv to try the 4.2 but doubt I'd buy one except for great deal.

Congrats on those pieces, I absolutely understand their appeal. That being said, I'm more of a pre-scandium era guy and even prefer blued over stainless. Once upon a time the PC built guns like the Model 27 Registered Magnum and the appeal was the amazing polished finish and a slightly better trigger than the universally good trigger jobs coming out of S&W. I wish those days would make a comeback at S&W :(
