A few new S&W Performance center revolvers.

I got the R8, it handles very nice. I think you can take the top and front rails off the TRR8, cuz my R8 came with a top rail and cap screws for the holes when i removed it. my only complaint (albeit very minor) is that the cap screws are stainless when the rest of the gun is black, even the screws to mount the rail were black. Weird.

I got lucky again today, Kellys near sarnia got two, S&W performance center 627's in and I got one.
Comes with wooden grips and a spare set of hogues. A stunning addition to the now out of control addiction I have to Smith and Wessons.

Those S&W R8s are great looking revolvers and certainly one of S&W's most innovative designs. I had my hands on one last year...now THAT's a revolver. Feels real good in the hand. Thanks for the great photos.

Let me see here....so any performance center that dares to make an appearance in southern Ontario, somehow ends up in your gun safe right?

Nice guns. This last one would be my choice.

I also own a 327 and it is a fantastic gun! Good trigger, great balance, and just feels so natural in the hand with the factory grips. Mine had a warranty issue with the firing pin and took months to get it fixed, but now runs like a champ. It sure does get a lot of attention at the range too, whether you love it or hate it, everybody wants to look at it!

I had a 627 V-Comp for a while. I sold it to pay for other gun toys and have regretted it ever since. I tried to get the all stainless model but they were discontinued. I'm in Texas as this is typed and the PC .357's are popular for competition. I know a couple of shooters who can make the 627 sing at semi auto speeds.

Not really a 'revolver guy', but liked the look of both th R8 and the V-Comp. Thought the R8's Scandium frame might be just a little lightweight for a .357, so I went with the V-Comp. Changed the grip to a S&W/Houge 'Model 500', which covers the exposed steel backstrap.....much better. Great shooter.

I didn't realize there were so many 627 V-Comps in Canada! I have had mine for 4 years (a black one, I too wanted the stainless though) IIRC.

Has any one else had the black finish go grey? Mine has lost its black luster, and I was thinking of getting it redone in black Cerakote
