Some german stuff which is my prime interest but tons and tons of stuff around the base. Also a T34 which surprised me.

Some german field guns. Good shape, lots of markings still visible.

A jagdpanzer 38T Hetzer

A PzKw IV in the AA role. Some zimmerit still clinging on.

Soviet T34

Mine Buster!

Some randoms

Great stuff!
The Sherman Crab flail tank is interesting to me as a relative was somehow part of the group that created some of the "funnies".

i usta work roads n ground on the base .. out in the back by the tank yard they've got some interesting stuff ( more leopards, some recovery vehicles, and some of the heavy self propelled guns )

nice pic's

Thanks for the pic, really like the Wirbelwind and the Hetzer. Field guns also great to see. Wouldn't of been fun pushing one of those though the mud.

Keep in mind that there are no actual combat troops in Borden. There is some valuable logistic and MP training going on there, but if you want to see actual soldier training you have to go to Meaford to see them learning their craft, or Petawawa to see trained soldiers who can deploy.

If they are going to shoot fresh paint on the outside displayed guns and vehicles at least make an iota of effort to at least get a correct colour on them. All that grey/blue Tremclad floor paint totally sucks, and that ex-East German T34 did NOT go there (gifted from the German government at reunification) with some groovy black/green cam scheme (mind you it is far better then the goofy big red star some fool had painted on it). For the German guns and vehicle the PZ grey was replaced with Dunkel Gelb in Feb 1943 and I doubt by wars end any of these vehicle wore grey. Europeans look at our collections and ask what the hell we are doing to these vehicles.

Yeah the paint is a joke. But better then no paint I guess.

There is cool stuff stewn ALL over Base Borden. Lots of cool 45-80s stuff too. I just didn't stuff to photograph everything.

the Ram tank on the sicily parade square is the last one in existence.

Do you mean last one in running condition? If not, then there is a Ram tank displayed outside the British Columbia Regiment armory in Vancouver.
