rdsc (if they have the version you want). I think that a few more vendors in canada had them also but I haven't looked recently . you can also import from brownells - these are parts, so there should be no tarrifs (me thinks, haven't imported anything since the latest sh*t show started). That's funny I just stumbled across the Midwest chassis a few minutes ago. Really like that one. Where did you pick up yours?
Unless it's going to be a bench gun where heavy is favorable I'd go with the SBI since it's half the weight.I guess what I'm trying to decide with the Dlask receiver... Does the negative of the receiver being extremely tight when installing barrels outweigh the positives of the build quality and 7075 aluminum since I'll be doing it myself and will not sand or file anything?
Is it worth just going SBI for that reason alone? I'll be using SBI or Green Mountain barrels.
What is SBI, quit this initial thing, not everyone knows what you are talking about, full English pleaseIf you're going for the Dlask receiver in order to use the 25 round mags the SBI receivers also have the cutout to fit them.
The Dlask receiver is thicker and heavier than the SBI ones. It's a tank. Depends on what you prefer. The SBI receiver can be had with a top side "AR syle" charging handle which is pretty cool.
I would skip on the Magpul stock... I have one and don't like it. A Chassis is nicer. They're modular, lighter and you can choose any grip, stock and accessories you like to put on there.
Depending on what the gun will be used for be careful which barrel you choose. Some match chambers won't work with hypervelocity ammo like Stingers and Velocitors. SBI's barrels will not accept them. I don't know if that matters to you or if you just want to shoot match ammo
Just some food for thought.

A 10/22 receiver doesn’t need to be 7075 - plenty of Ruger receivers been around for decades with thousands of rounds through and no issues. Not sure the OEM receivers are even 6061 aluminium.
Biggest issue with OEM reveivers is the crappy paint job. Paint chips around the extraction port are inevitable. Until the paint chipping has settled down somewhat, you’ll be constantly pulling out chips every time you take out the bolt for cleaning the receiver. Very annoying. The SBI or DLASK receiver solves this issue.
Other upgrades both Dlask and SBI receivers have are rear cleaning ports and integrated pic rails. The SBI receiver also has a top mounted set screw through the pic rail to aid with barrel alignment (anti droop), which the DLASK doesn’t have. The SBI also has removable/adjustable ‘legs’ in front of the magazine well. Not really sure why, but another feature DLASK receivers don’t have.
I had an absolute mare trying to attach a GM barrel to a DLASK receiver - heat guns, freezers and ovens all involved but to no avail. Attaching a barrel to the SBI was much easier - almost too easy - but with an adjustable V-block and the aforementioned set screw I’ve had no issues with the barrel moving.
I ended up selling the DLASK receiver and have another SBI on the way. It has all the features I want without the bulk and weight of the DLASK.
YMMV - they’re both well built and an upgrade over the OEM for the finish alone if not the other features. Let us know which you choose!![]()
To confuse things further, Saskatoon Gun Works offer Faxon receivers and Ballistic Advantage barrels. They often have a 20% sale on BA barrels…
I thought he meant not everyone knew the SBI receivers accepted Tuf-22 25 round magazines LOLA 2 second Google search would've answered your question.
I've built an IBI barrel into a Dlask receiver (hard to fit, and I suspect the IBI of being generous-sized), Dlask receiver and barrel (fit properly), and a Faxon barrel into an SBI receiver (almost too loose). Not quite enough data to be sure, other than that if you get both pieces from the same supplier they're more likely to fit nicely together.
Any opinions or recommendations for charging handles? I much prefer the barrel style, never liked the flat curved style that come on the Ruger, or SBI.
Considering the Dlask, and the VQ handles. The stainless steel VQ handle looks really nice. Not sure how much smaller the VQ is than the Dlask.
Also, I notice many of the auto bolt releases look very different. Any difference in function between the Dlask and VQ releases?
